Job Description

Under the direct supervision of the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs & Provost, The Chief Enrollment Management (CEM) Officer will provide leadership, strategic enrollment planning, and oversight of student recruitment strategies and efforts and collaborate with other University leaders in target marketing and establish strategic enrollment management initiatives. The CEM Officer will provide oversight to the admissions and financial aid offices, oversee recruitment activities, including but not limited to lead generation and follow-up, high school and community college visits, college fairs, name-buys, communication plans, goal setting, on-campus visits, and enrollment events. The CEM Officer will also be responsible for directing staff efforts and managing on-going operations to meet statewide and local enrollment initiatives.

The CEM Officer must possess demonstrable experience in creating, developing, and leading student enrollment in a higher education environment, including a proven record of articulation and demonstration of increasing qualified student enrollment in undergraduate and graduate programs. The CEM Officer must also be able to establish and maintain strong relationships with High School, Community College, local neighborhood and advocacy groups and organizations.

Additionally, the CEM Officer will represent the University to prospective students and their parents, and collaborate with constituencies on- and off-campus to positively contribute to recruitment, enrollment, and retention efforts.

Required Qualifications

EDUCATION
• Regionally accredited master’s degree is preferred or regionally accredited bachelor’s degree with significant, progressive post-secondary enrollment experience may be sufficient.

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS /ABILITY
• Demonstrable experience creating, developing, and leading student enrollment in a Health Sciences/Health Professions academic environment.
• Must be able to articulate and demonstrate a proven record of increasing qualified student enrollment in undergraduate and graduate programs.
• Knowledge of fundamentals of student financial aid.
• Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships with High School, Community College, local neighborhood and advocacy groups and organizations.
• Must be a visionary and transformational leader who possesses strong personal and professional integrity, analytical skills, and a commitment to collaboration, innovation, and creativity.
• Familiarity with health professions and health sciences is desirable.
• Goal-oriented driven to challenge and encourage teams to reach and exceed established enrollment and net revenue targets.
• Ability to demonstrate a successful track record of leading enrollment efforts, preferably in a comprehensive context involving both the undergraduate and graduate level.
• Proficient in building, mentoring, and managing a high performing team as well as the ability to collaborate with leadership.
• Knowledge of leading strategic enrollment management techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with constituents at all levels of management, including senior level personnel, and provide exceptional management and customer service.
• Ability to concurrently organize, analyze, track, and manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to produce excellent results on complex projects under pressure.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of campus constituency groups.

• Demonstrated experience with data-management software (preferably PowerCampus, PowerFAIDS & CRM).

Minimum Requirements

EXPERIENCE
• Minimum five (5) years of progressive full-time experience in a regionally-accredited institution and in the field of higher education enrollment management, including admissions processing and recruitment.

Essential Duties

• Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive recruitment plan to reach CDU’s target audience and achieve new student recruitment goals.
• Oversee the admissions process, ensuring that all processes are in compliance with CDU, State, and Federal requirements.
• Assist the University in reaching strategic enrollment outcomes by setting goals for admissions staff, implementing plans to reach these outcomes, and serving as a liaison to the communities in target regions to develop relationships with key influencers and identify growth opportunities for the University.
• Coordinate the development and implementation of enrollment marketing campaigns by utilizing technology; collaborate with marketing and communication staff, admissions and financial aid to provide enhanced communication to students, parents and influencers; and assess the impact of key marketing and recruiting activities.
• Supervise the offices of Admissions and Financial Aid.
• Identify, collect and report data to enhance recruiting efforts and report to designated CDU personnel.
• Assist with all stages of student recruitment.

Other Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs & Provost.

• The ability to perform highly detailed work with sustained attention and care while providing/obtaining information on numerous inquiries is paramount to success in this position.
